PRESS FROM CHINA: Clearing the ears: Pan Delta Super Racing Festival ZIC Superbike Race 1

As of Pan Delta’s tradition, the fans are awaken by the sharpest engines noises. At 10:00 on 17 June, the ZIC Superbikes appeared on stage for the thousands of early arrivals in the grandstand. Their sharp engine noises are like battle horns, signifying the start of the day’s events.

Many have come to Pan Delta just to see the ZIC Superbikes, as they are the fastest and most powerful performers nationally. Motorbikes racing is very unique and vastly different from cars. They will surely give any sleepy fans a strong wake up call.

The weather is very different from the day before. The sky is very clear and bright while not too strong. The spectators are comfortable and is excellent for racing.

According to the qualification results of yesterday, veteran Huang Shi-Zhao’s Yamaha is on pole position. His teammate Li Zheng-Peng is second. At the start the leading group quickly establishes a lead over the remaining riders. The leading duo are soon into a race of thier own.

On lap 4, Huang Shi-Zhao stamps his authority on the race and builds up an insurmountable lead. But soon, Kawasaki ZX10R rider Dan Kruger catches up on him and the two begins to battle for the lead. The two run very close together all the way to the last lap.

In the end, Huang Shi-Zhao beats Dan Kruger by half a bike length and wins the first race of the weekend. His fastest lap was 1:40.742, but it was not enough for him to get the best lap as Dan Kruger managed a even faster 1:40.622, a mere 0.031 quicker. Li Zheng-Peng finishes third, 9 seconds behind.
